Computer-aided component evaluation

© Fraunhofer IWM

We offer specialized and individual evaluations of components and joints that are not in accordance with current guidelines and standards. With our in-house characterization and simulation expertise, we have all the necessary building blocks to carry out a well-founded, physically validated evaluation, support you in your decision-making and minimize costly design iterations.

We offer well-founded assessments

  • on the deformation and failure behavior of materials and components,
  • for the service life of components and weld seams under high-pressure hydrogen,
  • on the structural integrity of fiber composites for hydrogen pressure tanks,
  • of welded and hybrid joints under crash load,
  • for fault tolerance and load-bearing capacity calculations for highly stressed and safety-relevant components,
  • on the high-temperature wear behavior of valves under hydrogen atmosphere.
